EAST MIDLANDS COMPANIES PROMOTE INNOVATIVE IDEAS
AT UK’S LARGEST LOW CARBON VEHICLE EVENT
The Transport iNet has taken six East Midlands based companies to the UK’s largest Low Carbon Vehicle event (LCV2013) run by Cenex on 4th and 5th September at Millbrook Proving Ground in Bedfordshire.
The nationally acclaimed event provided the SMEs with a unique platform to showcase the world leading, low carbon transport technologies they offer and to meet with a range of industry contacts. The organisation and support provided by the Transport iNet has been instrumental in helping the selected companies to gain valuable exhibition presence in front of an international audience.
Representatives of 50 Cycles Ltd, Axon Automotive, Jonam Composites, Surface Generation Ltd, SEC (UK) Batteries and Rieju UK Ltd shared the Transport iNet stand.
John Frodsham, Director of the Transport iNet, said: “The Cenex LCV event has yet again been invaluable in providing a unique opportunity for pioneering regional SMEs to meet industry figureheads who are likely to have a positive impact on the future of their business. We received a great response from delegates and we’re pleased to have been able to offer the SMEs this chance to network with influential stakeholders in a key industry sector poised for growth.”
The Transport iNet is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) with the aim of increasing the level of innovation in the East Midlands, thus helping to improve business competitiveness, margins, sustainability and growth. It enables specific sectors to work together, share ideas, technologies, intelligence, innovation and create a link between industry and the academic community.
